"The Poetics of Space"   Gaston Bachelard

The Geometry series embodies the tension between fragility and stability, echoing the balance inherent in the embryonic stage of life. It represents an embryo object, a static form that encapsulates the concept of time and change—a state of becoming, where the potential for transformation and destruction coexist. The precarious positioning of objects within the organic, bionic structure mirrors the inherent vulnerability of both physical objects and living beings. Yet, within this threat lies a paradoxical sense of stability. The sculpture, though appearing as if it might topple, holds itself together. This tension between the imminent collapse and the unexpected resilience creates a visual illusion where fragility is stabilized, where the potential for breakage is ever-present but never actualized. The material distribution within most sculptures was determined using topology optimization that is a computational technique used to optimize material distribution within a design space for given constraints and performance criteria. This technique gives rise to a chimera-like form that attempts to support disjointed, contextually and functionally non-associated objects with no practical purpose, embodying the seemingly irrational pursuit of impossible goals. The project seeks to blur the boundary between the stereotypical dichotomy of "nature," often exemplified by algorithmic growth, and "human" by incorporating objects associated with the human body.
