A Study of Support

2025

Installation

"A Study of Support" began as an open-ended exploration during a period of uncertainty, sparked by an encounter with a computational method capable of generating forms shaped by conditions of force, balance, and constraint. Rather than focusing on technical logic, the project follows the expressive potential of the resulting structures: organic, unstable, and seemingly still in transformation. The sculptures evoke bodily associations such as bone, vein, and fluid, suggesting an internal will to hold, sustain, or endure. Fragility and stability coexist within precarious arrangements that appear close to collapse yet remain intact, embodying suspended time and unresolved change. Through these forms, the work reflects on support not as a fixed function but as a manifestation of desire, struggle, and the continuous negotiation between vulnerability and persistence.
